The Aragon Association is pleased to announce that Dr. Michael Heuer has been appointed as Solidity Developer and Researcher. He will be responsible for decentralized governance research, code development for the Aragon Network DAO and assisting the core team.
Michael began his career as a natural scientist at RWTH Aachen University and ETH Zurich. He recently finished his Ph.D. in theoretical chemistry, an interdisciplinary field combining chemistry, quantum physics, and high-performance computing.
As a researcher, he developed Free and Open-source Software (FOSS) for the clustering of high-dimensional electronic structure data and gained experience in solving intricate theoretical problems.
In 2017, parallel to his Ph.D., Michael became an active member in the Ethereum community and joined several DAOs. In 2020, he worked on a software voting module that allows for a period of deliberation in the voting process to foster better-informed decisions and make it more resilient against populism and disinformation strategies.
In his free time, Michael enjoys bouldering, DJing electronic music, and traveling with his self-built camper van.
"In the wake of the problems that our society is facing, distributed ledger technologies have opened up a hopeful path to fundamentally change the way we work, organize, and interact. They enable us to build more open, inclusive, participatory, resilient, and decentralized organizations that eliminate the need for trust and can transform our societies and economies to be more fair and sustainable. I am incredibly happy to be able to contribute to such an important and impactful vision with the Aragon community." - Dr. Michael Heuer, Solidity Developer & Researcher at the Aragon Association.
